Lion Dance at Georgia State Capitol

The Georgia Legislative Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Caucus hosted the first Lion Dance performed in the Georgia State Capitol with the Chien Hong School of Kung Fu Lion Dance team. It was a performed in honor of the 2024 Lunar New Years Celebration (Year of the Dragon). This story was reported by Fox 5 News.

Today we debuted our drum core team at the 2023 Atlanta Dragon Boat Festival as a preamble to the lion dance routine that we performed in order to kick off the festival show. It was well received and we were proud to be able to present it at this event.
